"Make it, take it" rule in effect tomorrow at Probowl as a test. (Onside kick alternative)

And if the score is still tied at that point, what then? We're right back where we started.

I'm interested in seeing how the XFL's version of OT will play out. Short version is to compare it to a hockey shootout. Each team gets one play from the 5 yard line. Either they score, or they don't. Repeat this 5 times. If we are still tied, we go one more round, keep going one round at a time until the score is no longer tied. (I haven't heard how the scoring would work, but I'd prefer keeping it simple...The team that wins the overtime gets 3 points total).

A little too similar to college OT. But I would like to see both offenses get the ball in OT regardless of fg or td in a traditional NFL OT.

As for the proposed alternative rule for replacing the onside kick, I'm not really a fan of it yet. Probably needs some tweaks to make it work. Maybe different starting point and 4th and 10 rather than 15.
