Athleticism over Talent

I think the scramble/escape thing is at the heart of the discussion. There is no such thing as a running QB; you have to be able to throw the ball consistently. The guys to do it are Steve Young and Russell, that's it. Hurts seems to be the closest of the recent crop, and Jackson supporters point out the lack of WRs with a limited passing system. The question with Richardson is whether he can get better, as Allen and hurts did. However, you can't depend on the team to help you because they will think short term.
My friends dad is a big booster at Fl and he says Richardson isn't very X and Os smart, and Dan Mullen's play calling is making him look like a better passer than he really is. Good, but not top 10.
