I think that is what is going to happen. It's up to 33 degrees and the sun is out and melting some of the snow, especially in places where people walked.
Seeing the same thing here. Our lawn, sidewalk, and the street out front have melted quite a bit from the "kids" trampling down the snow yesterday. Lawns where no one played still look like smooth, fluffy snow as of now.
In fact, I'm a little surprised how much has melted off the street already. There's a little creek of flowing runoff water alongside the curb (street drain is in front of our house). And the ruts from where vehicles have been driving are snow-free (and ice-free, for now).
