Report: Saints 1 of 9 teams scheduled to formally meet with Boise St. RB Ashton Jeanty at NFL Combine

Is there any data showing anything to warrant concern over college usage impacting a career?

I’ve never really heard of this ever being a concern from any of the so-called experts and former scout types, and surely Jeanty isn’t the first superstar collegiate back to see heavy usage throughout his career.

I don't know that there are any studies or anything but I've often times heard it talked about that some RBs have a lot of wear and tear and some guys you hear positive stuff about them not having a lot of carries in college. Kamara was one of those guys that had few carries in college so it was a positive that he had not taken a beating.

I'll add that RB careers used to be a good bit shorter before teams started rotating RBs. It could be why we see more RBs playing well into their 30 these days?

Anyway, I don't really know if there is hard evidence that it can be an issue. That's why I called it a concern and not a red flag or a definite reason why he should not be drafted.
