Reaching is still reaching. Drafting Dart at #9 doesn't make him a top 10 pick no more than Chicago taking Mitch Trubisky early made him a top 10 pick. The player still has to be worth it.
I agree in principle but Dart is looking less and less of a reach by the day. It’s still leagues better than Davenport or Turner or some of the other misfires.
His ADP based on just the past week is solidly in the late teens(SEA) or early 20s(PIT). It’s incredibly unlikely he even lasts to the 20s tbh as he’s some boards number 2 QB.
The bears made a silly trade for trubisky by trading 2 3rds(one of which was traded to us to draft AK oddly) and a 4th to go up one spot. Pace made a foolish move hardly anyone in the org approved of. Trubisky himself(going by mock draft database) was consistently mocked just outside the top 10 to CLE at 12. They also took him over Watson/Mahommes.
At least in darts case if they do draft him he’ll have organizational backing and a staff that knows QBs in Moore/Nuss/Tolzien. I can agree it’s a bit of a reach and a bit risky but I also don’t like a lot of options at 9 unless someone really good falls. This is almost all contingent on Moore thinking he’s the guy.
