I think these 2 are the front runners. As impressive as Brees is Mahomes looks just as good. Every week I'm hoping Mahomes have a bad game or chief's loss but it's never the case. If both both teams finish with only one loss the NFL will give the MVP to Mahomes.

Mahomes will get it. First year starting. Insane numbers. Flashy. I'd rather he win it anyways. The MVP curse is real.

They will because he's new and shiny.

If both get their teams to 15-1 I think it may go to Brees. He is on pace to break completion percentage and could possibly have the most efficient year for a QB in nfl history with a chance to break Aaron Rodgers qbr record. If Brees gets to 35+tds with only 1-2 interceptions that’s in heard of. Even if Mahomes gets to 50 tds he will also have 10+ints

I know this goes against our woe is me mentality, but I think Brees wins it if we’re the 1 or 2 seed. The rallies will get loud to get him one since he’s never won one, despite Mahomes season.

Drew needs to be the front runner right now. A 21-1 TD-INT ratio is insane.Mahomes is like 4-1. Comp % is 11 points higher. Rating is 10 points higher. If they just go by total yards and TDs, Mahomes will get it. But keep in mind Mahomes hasn't had his bye week yet.

North of 75 % completion rate

Probably in the vicinity of 38 TDs and 4 Ints

Possibly break the QB rating record of 122.6

Most importantly three 4th quarter comebacks and 4 game winning drives (Mahomes only 1)

Too much to overlook, even if Mahomes reaches 50 TDs.

Yea I also mentioned that in another thread I think a lot of people are forgetting he didn’t have a bye week yet. Also don’t think he can keep up that ridiculous amount of td passes he’s putting up. Eventually he will start to only have a couple of 1-2 touchdown pass games.

I believe if Brees breaks both the completion % record, passer rating record, and finishes with a record as good or better than the Chiefs, he will finally take home the MVP. If he finishes the year with 1 INT, I think he may win no matter what. He's playing perfect football right now, I can't even remember the last time he made a true mistake. Absolute monster.

Mahomes hasn't even had his bye yet, and I doubt he breaks Manning's record for most TDs in a season now. Plus I trust Brees more to keep playing at this insane level than Mahomes. Time will tell, but for the first time ever I'm feeling the MVP going to Brees. And then a Superbowl MVP to top it off. The man deserves it.

It´s a legit race between them. I don't think the MVP curse will play out this year. Everyone knows that Brees is breaking records left and right. I´ve even seen arguments that he should be considered the MVP because of his body of work overall.

Mahomes is having a great season, and is MVP worthy, but if Brees keeps this up there's no way he doesn't win it. Brees is universally liked in the league and there's been a lot of talk about how he's never won the MVP award.

I don't even think he needs to break the completion percentage record again this year, or even have necessarily the "best" numbers this season. If the Saints finish with either the one or two seed, and Brees doesn't start throwing lots of interceptions, he walks away with the MVP this year.

Mahommes bye week is week 12. We play the Falcons at home, Thurs night, Thanksgiving. Brees in the spotlight, hopefully a nice 4-5 TD game to help close the total TD gap a little. Let’s not forget Brees also has 3 rushing TDs to add in the mix as well
