Last night's game was literally hyped up for the past seven or so weeks. In my opinion, it lived up to it, even though the Rams won.
As Thanksgiving comes and goes, get ready for the hype of a Saints/Rams NFC Championship rematch.

Lived up to what? It was like watching a college game and I hate college football for the exact reason last night, light up the score board playing pitch and catch. The Defenses were non existent but the announcers never once said how bad the D for each team was. It was exciting until mid 2nd qtr, after that it loss it's excitement

Wasn't great defense but they had like 5 turnovers and several defensive scores. Both of those teams are very good and will be hard to beat. Especially the Rams. Really hope we can get home field over them.

Frankly, I'm not so sure the Rams even make it to a potential NFCCG. A team like Minnesota or Chicago could easily knock them out.

Personally, there's too much football left between now and then to be thinking about it.

One game at a time.

The Rams gave up 50+ points to an offense that didn't bother trying to run the ball or control the clock.

Andy Reid went full Andy Reid, yet they still put 50+ points on the board.

I don't fear the Rams. They are beginning to remind me of the 2011 Packers. Remember how they went 15-1 and looked unbeatable all during the year despite having an awful defense? GB's defense did not improve as the season went on, they just got worse.

I wouldn't say the Rams defense is awful, they created turnovers that decided the game ultimately.

I have to disagree just from a standpoint of final numbers. 1,000 total yards and 105 total points is says that not a lot of defense was being played, defensive scores or not.

I see your point here and I usually agree but there are some circumstances to consider;

The Rams defense is not improving. We're approaching the late part of the season and they have yet to improve. The opposite is happening, as they are regressing. They showed serious signs of concerns earlier in the season and there were a handful of games that prior to last night, raised concerns. The first one being the Seahawks game they nearly lost, then the Saints game where we just torched their defense. The third was the rematch with Seattle but last night was when the floor fell out from their feet.

We've seen this before with juggernaut offensive based teams whom had a mediocre defense that didn't improve as the season went on.

The 2011 Packers led the league in turnovers for most of the year and their defense ranked in the bottom 3 all year. People thought they'd be OK cause despite giving up gobs of yards and points routinely week in and week out, they still got tons of INTs and fumbles. But come playoff time, when they stopped getting turnovers, they couldn't rely on anything.

I see the same thing happening to the Rams. When they don't create turnovers, their defense can't do nothing to save themselves. Come playoff time, they're in for a rough ride.

They aren't getting past Chicago if they keep abandoning the run.
