We are trying our absolute hardest to select right in the middle of next years draft..

I get it, no coaches want to suck at their new job, but im not getting the rebuild vibes at all.. and if theres ever been a team that desperately needs a rebuild.. well

we get becton and samuels and we hit big on 3 draft picks we may be looking a lot better than you think. we are in the dumpster division.... a decent team gets the division (ask the bucs) and i joked and said we are 8-9 players away. we are getting closer to the 3-4 players away which could happen with a dominant draft class. i remember the Lattimore draft and what that immediately did for our team. im not saying super bowl but division is very realistic.

Probably, but my understanding is that Safeties in Staley's scheme are interchangeable. They will both alternate rotating down in run defense pre-snap and they will both alternate covering over the top. Which is why Reid is a perfect fit. He's great in coverage and against the run. I think both Safety spots are very important for Staley's scheme because they are counted on both to provide coverage over the top and to add the 7th guy in the box late for run support.

Reid is a perfect fit, but I would think they still add a young Safety in the draft to compete with Tyrann.

Fingers crossed for Mukuba, who's spent a lot of time at nickel and is a menace in the box despite being a little light.
