Pat Kirwan said he heard Carr didn’t want to do Saints contract restructure (161 Viewers)

I didn't say he was blind sided or that he doesn't know what a simple restructure was or that it wasn't coming. I'm just telling you want 4 or 5 people have reported about Carr not really wanting to be here, but he will be here because Moore wants him as his starting QB. You can choose to believe those 4 or 5 people or not.
Kirwan has plenty of connections, and I doubt he would make that story up. His radio show isn’t built on outrageous takes and claims. Add Kirwan’s comments to the other reports, and Carr being MIA the best I can tell, and it seems like there is some smoke there.

I don't think it's just Moore, I think he's the teams and FO's best chance of winning until he isn't. The question is..what will trigger the isn't.

Agreed. Add in the fact that Underhill and Tripplet don't do clickbait or sensationalism, and they have good team sources, I find it hard to believe there isn't a fire under that smoke.

"Him not wanting to be here" is a stretch. The ridiculous negative media spin Im talking about. If you don't want to be here you can sit out and make every penny regardless till they trade you. He's not forced to play here unless he wants to.

People are so drawn to negativity around this guy they can't use common sense.

First its restructure the whole team for 0 cap space just to cut him.

Now it's they forced him to play by restructuring him.

Get a grip people.

Agreed. I didn't mean to imply that the front office wasn't behind the decision all the way. I just didn't want to hear people claiming that Loomis forced this on Moore when it's been confirmed that Moore wanted Carr as his QB and took the job expecting Carr to be his starting QB this year.

Like I said, you can choose to ignore 4 or 5 credible sources if you want to. If it was just Florio, I might ignore it. But, when you add in Breer, Underhill, Triplett, and now Kirwin, it's hard to believe they all made up the same story.

Your making up the story by trying to piece together separate streams of information and regurgitating it as 4-5 separate sources agreeing with you.

Sure a trade was probably discussed by both parties. That is not uncommon but that is a far cry from he doesn't want to be here and must play now because they restructured him.

Uh oh, Derek's alleged brother twice removed, 'stinkers' is back clowning posts!
HAHAHA, i thought about him today. I said ya know....when I made the comment out that stinkers must be family the account stopped commenting and went dead for a while. All of a sudden it's back. This is hilarious.

If he doesn't want to be here, it's because he has no security after this year. No player wants to be a lame duck, especially a starting QB.

I'm straight up telling you that Underhill and Triplett said Carr did not want to be here and did not want them to do the simple restructure to keep him. I believe that Florio and Breer said the same things, but I can't recall word for word what they wrote. I'm not making anything up.

But you are free to choose to believe I am because for some reason you can't possibly believe that Carr, a guy that grew up on the West Coast and played his entire football career on the West Coast, missed his first significant time to injury in New Orleans; just got done with a 5 win season; is on his third offensive coordinator and second head coach; hasn't been given the OL or weapons he feels he needs to succeed; is essentially in the last year of his contract and will be cut next year; was immediately bashed for taking his kids to Chipotle when he got here; wasn't here for the Super Bowl or Mardi Gras; and is either not liked or hated by much of the fan base, does not want to be here. I mean he only came here because DA was the head coach. Is it really hard to believe Carr doesn't want to be here given all of that?

Derek Carr? Not wanting to be in NOLA anymore?

If he wanted out. He would of cut a deal and got out. He didn't.

Carr is 34 years old and probably missing any chance of real post season glory at this point staying with us.

So, if Carr was itching that badly to be a FA. Either he's a coward that bit his tongue or it's not true. I'm more willing to believe that it's not true.

He has no incentive at this point of his career to be loyal to a situation that he didn't want to be in to finish his career.
