In 2017 Chiefs jumped Saints brass and swiped up Mahomes and Saints drafted Lattimore.

Who won that draft. Saints or Chiefs?

Lattimore jumped on the seen as a rookie and he have become a shutdown corner back for Saints.

On the other hand we all see why SP wanted Mahomes. Homes putting up some numbers for Chiefs. He is balling. Would have been awesome to have that kind of talent behind Brees.

Lattimore has been perfect for us.

But a franchise QB that can get you to the playoffs/win in the playoffs?

That will always be the best selection....as those are so few and far between.

It will easily be KC unless Mahomes has an injury shortened career.

If the Saints win a Super Bowl this season, it will be hard to gauge. Mahomes would still be sitting behind Brees right now and there’s no way we win one without Lattimore in the secondary.

Of course franchise caliber QB is significantly > even an elite CB. But the ultimate goal is championship, and it’s hard to trade one away for any individual player, even a special QB like Mahomes.

Chiefs. Quarterback trumps Cornerback. Both guys got great players, but it's simply about positional value.
