This thread is to discuss the prospects who we as Saints fans (and fans of football in general) should keep our eyes on. Please, post those players here. Lets get familiar with the next set of prospects who will help us climb the mountain.

I was in Tampa this week for work, and on Thursday I stumbled into Raymond Lame Stadium to watch USF vs Temple. Nationally ranked team playing in front of a crowd no bigger than what you would catch on a Friday night at Tad Gormley, or Pan Am stadium.

I digress. There were a few kids that caught my attention, but the guy who caught my eye the most was Auggie Sanchez. Perhaps we have a USF fan in the crowd who can tell us more about this kid, but this kid was all over the field. He batted down passes, collected a sack, and made tackles. I'm not sure what lb spot he plays, but he was making splash plays all over .

Keep an eye on him.

Tonights Stanford UCLA game is a good one. We all know about UCLA qb Rosen, but Stanford has a few guys to watch.

Bryce Love- RB- Sure we wont be in need of a rb this offseason, unless something happens to Ingram, but Bryce Love is taking up where CMac left off last year. Love is a fast rb. At 5'10, 196 he isn't huge power runner, but he isn't showing to be a quick take down either. Certainly worth a look.

Dalton Schultz- TE- Stanford. 6'6 te, former basketball player. Looks to be the next in a solid line of Stanford TEs. He just had an amazing catch which really showcased his hands.

Well if we don’t end up with more than 8 wins and are outside of the playoffs, we need to turn the page on the Sean Payton & Drew Brees era IMO. So that means we will need a QB. Currently they have 3 bonafide QBs with first round grades IMO. They are Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, and Lamar Jackson. One or possibly 2 will be top 5 picks I would think. So depending on where we draft, I would try to get one of those guys. Now someone else will probably join those 3 and maybe even surpass them. This time last year I wouldn’t of said Mitch Trubisky would be a top pick. Same with Carson Wentz the year previously. We supposedly were very high on Pat Mahomes last year, so I could see us going QB early on.

It’s about time we get one. I rather him sit a year behind Drew and learn from coach Payton, but I just don’t see how they both will be around after another mediocre season. But maybe we turn it around start winning a bunch of games, well I hope we do at least. Even if we do turn it around we need to look for our future QB.

Have we ever taken a QB in the first round? Was Archie? Too lazy to google lol

Josh Allen Wyoming QB...Watching the Hawaii/Wyoming game right now. His stats this year very bad. This is a bad team. O Line is bad..And little to no talent at the skill positions. Would like the see him elevate these pedestrian players and make them better but safe to say it's not happening. He is forcing some balls but at they same time when they are open that flat a dropping it. Watching him struggle you can still see a lot of NFL caliber traits. Good size,,Mechanics are smooth the few times he has a clean pocket and the ball does jump of his hands. Now mechanics break down some when he is pressured (which is often). He can drive the ball downfield a lot to work with. With the tough season he is having he may drop to the 2nd round. Great prospect to sit and groom. Don't know much about him far as his character and what kinda kid he is far as work ethic and that part of it but will learn more closer to the draft process in sure. Best case scenario is if we address this position sooner then later and with Brees we won't be picking top 3 in the draft so I Veiw the prospect as a attainable guy we can get.

North Carolina State defensive end Bradley Chubb -- disruptive all day today against Florida State and had two sacks among his seven tackles. He is an emotional leader who plays the run as well the pass and has a motor that runs high the entire game.

Ball St. EDGE/LB Anthony Winbush is a pass rush prospect my brother in law has been hyping since last year. Checked him out and that guy is unfreaking-stopable! He ate Illinois alive and has literally been on a rampage. 6 sacks and 10 TFLs in 3 games so far. Dont really buy into my bros hype, but he got me really intrigued w/Winbush. He reminds me of Elvis Dumervil/Vic Beasley. Im now a fan and will totally be keeping track of him this year. Here's the Illinois game.

Whoever is the defensive coordinator for TCU did a great job against Oklahoma State. I know that's not draft related, but color me impressed with how they played.

Was he the kid that spat on the FSU field yesterday?

Watched him play yesterday. He was all over the QB the entire game. On top of that he made a ton of tackles all over the field.

Chubb was coached up by our current d-line coach, Ryan Nielsen. In fact, the entire NC State d-line is impressive. Take a look at Kentavius Street and B.J. Hill as well.

Why do we waste time fantasizing about certain players, when Sean Payton is going to daft players who are not of good caliber, and players who have a history of injuries.
