300 yards passing (1 Viewer)

December 2019. Brees had 9 TD’s and zero picks in that last two game streak.
Just looked it up. We only had 5 300 yard games since Brees left I think.

When is the last time the Saints had back to back games with 300 yards passing? I think we have a good shot to do it next week.
I think it's possible. Not to be the Debbie Downer, but Carr took a beating at the hands of the offensive line yesterday. It's been mentioned about 1K times about Penning and his ability to block. Once Carr got settled in and he moved up in the pocket the offense flowed well. Protect him and the 300 yards will come.

Looks like only two games total, both last year (one each for Dalton and Winston). Brees had three in 2020, Saints had none in 2021.

I think that was one of the toughest if not the best D line we will face all year. I think there will be a better plan to help penning if needed and I think we will score more points vs the Panthers. I think our run game should be better and that alone will help with the pass blocking. They will test Penning early and often until he proves he can stop someone.

The Falcons took what they wanted on the ground, I will be pretty disappointed if we can't generate a running game against that defense, especially with better passing threat in Carr VS Ridder.

That’s exactly what I was thinking too. And that alone will take pressure off Penning. Yesterday they pinned their ears back and came because we couldn’t rush the ball.

In the theme of the thread, the Saints averaged more than seven 300+ passing yard games per season during the Brees era. Can we hit that mark this year?

Another Saints fact that is relevant, the most 400+ yard passing games in one season was five. It happened with none other than Pete Carmichael calling plays in 2012. Taking it further, the Saints have had 17 400+ yard passing games since 2006. Carmichael was the play caller for nine of them.
