So since Apple+ owns the rights now to A Charlie Brown Christmas and I don't have Apple+ and can and will no longer watch it, I decided to watch A Boy Named Charlie Brown last night since AMC showed it and I was curious. The same voice actor basically did all the specials, I got curiouser and wondered whatever happened to the boy who voiced Charlie Brown.
In 2013, Peter Robbins got into some legal trouble upon re-entering the US at the San Ysidro entry port. He had a number of other legal troubles related to stalking and probation violations over the years. He was in Chino for a while and then transferred to a psychiatric hospital and released on parole in 2019 after serving 80% of his sentence. Dx'd at some point with bipolar disorder and paranoid schizophrenia and not receiving the proper mediation for it till 2020, he took his own life in January of 2022 at the age of 65. I think I am now cured of wanting to watch any of these specials anymore.
