I am not saying he is the answer, but Nathan Rourke played his first season at the CFL with the BC Lions, showing accuracy (almost 80% completion rate) and great poise. He is only 24 years old and has tons to learn.
He will be trying with NFL teams the following weeks, I think it is well worth a look, specially considering the situation we are at.

B.C. Lions QB Nathan Rourke to start working out for NFL teams
The 24-year-old Victoria native says he's looking for an opportunity where he can be on the field and making an impact for a team, and he's willing to come back to the Lions if that opportunity isn't available in the NFL.
