AC/DC about to call it quits - Maybe (1 Viewer)

DAng....We were just watching one of their 2012 shows on TV last night. My youngest said, "those old guys are pretty good..."

Hope Malcolm recovers quickly.

Sadly, I have a friend that had a stroke about a year ago. People can see the surface level conversation and think oh ok he's fine. But in reality if you question looking for specific answers you realize how far they are gone. I seriously doubt any man who had a stroke could play as he used to.

The people I know personally whom have had a stroke, have never even came close to recovering. Malcom may never be the same. It's a CRUEL WORLD!

The young Bros are staples in Rock music. Nowhere close to the most technical guitar players but their sound and style has written the book on how Rock should sound. These guys and this band are legend and they will be sorely missed when they quit. AC/DC is one of those bands so many take for granted because they have just always been there....but when they are done people will realize how lucky we were for having had them around at all.

Also they are one of the hardest working bands in any genre of music EVER. I have been lucky enough to see AC/DC several times, and not once did they take their fans for granted and just "phone it in". They showed up to rock every time and never disappointed.

I hope Malcom can get his health in order, not just for the music and their fans....but because he deserves to be able to enjoy his family at this point in his life. I have no doubt he has missed out on a lot of family moments during his decades of dedication to AC/DC....he deserves to enjoy the time he has left with those that matter most.:9:

On XM,theyre retired. No more shows. I imagine the stroke has paralyzed him somewhat to where playing or even touring is out of the question. Sad. I wish him and his family the best.

Strokes have a wide range of effects depending on the location in the brain, amount of the occlusion/hemorrhage, time before intervention. Very sorry to hear this. Didn't know Malcolm had a stroke.
