Anoybody know what happened to Copeland's Soc City?? (1 Viewer)

It seems like every new concept they have done except the original Copeland's restaurant has been short lived. Some of them I can't even remember at this point.

My wife and I typically don't like Copelands franchises, save popeyes. We live two minutes from the one by the esplanade mall and have been there twice in 4 years. It seems overpriced and greasy, no matter what you get, and it always left us flat.

We tried social city twice, once alone and once with our inlaws, and both times were forgettable. Service was lackluster and slow, the food was average, and the bill was too high for the quality of the overall meal experience.

Look, I'll drop $$ at ruth's or brightsen or any of those tiered restaurants, so it's not that I'm cheap, but the overall experience was just so lacking, and the meal just didn't do anything for us both times.

A pipe burst and they flooded out, hence the closure.

I'm sure that they weren't doing well before that though, that place was turrible....

It seems like they use that location for different concepts. We're the guinea pigs it seems like.

It's all the same food anyway. The restaurant is just dressed up differently.
