I haven't seen this posted since Indy acquired Daniel Jones, but there was a posting on Sports Illustrated stating that we may release/trade Carr and trade for Richardson. He is talented but also seems to be a little immature yet. Sometimes a change of scenery helps out. I am not sure how much more talented over Rattler he is. I am good with any of these three options but only CKM knows what he wants.

Why would Indy trade him if he was any good. There has to be a reason they don’t like him.

Richardson is a bust. It was a bad pick. He has no accuracy and does not read defenses well. That pick may be the reason Steichen gets fired

There’s nothing linking AR to to the saints outside of obvious clickbait sites. Richardson camp doesn’t even want a trade.

Even if it WERE true they might be better off trying Jalen Milroe in the 3rd or 4th round or trade for Joe Milton than trading a 2nd or 3rd for Richardson. AR has already missed a ton of games and hasn’t made any progress since his FL days.

I just don’t see it at all.

My understanding was that Jones has been brought in to compete with Richardson. Premature to speculate that Richardson will be traded at this point, IMO.

Everything is so new that anybody who claims to know who the Saints' starting quarterback will be is trying to sell you something.

The coaches haven't even met these guys yet.

Another dumb draft pick. Sometimes I don't understand these professionals. Richardson and Trey Lance never should've been takin in the first round and most people could see it. Justin Fields was another one, but that guy put in tons of work and became infinitely better than he was when he was drafted. Fields isn't a project I would like to take on, because I don't think he'll be a top half QB in the NFL if he were a full time starter for 3 straight seasons. But he's definitely on par with Winston.

This draft I see two of these guys. Milroe and Sanders. Sanders might be a decent starter by his second contract but he has a long way to go. Milroe has no hope.

They are not trading or cutting Carr this year. Doing so would be literally throwing away over &38M in cap space and cash out of Gayle’s pocket.

Richardson is the epitome of a running back with a strong arm like Malik Willis. He is not a good QB. If you think Carr is bad they're far worse!
He might be a RB with a strong arm but good god does the man have a cannon. He would've been fun to watch in the old school, Al Davis Raiders "Go Deep!" offenses. Straight up Jeff George style. Throw it a mile and hope for the best.

Ballard might be the worst GM in the league.
