Being a dog owner and an avid animal rights supporter, I have no respect for anyone that purposely hurt animals. And, being a spiritual person, i would never wish ill will to anyone, but if Vick lost all of his endorsement deals and his job if he is found guilty I would be a very pleased individual.

I'm very happy to see a NFL player say this!
 
Ya that is nice to hear. But Im not sure Antonio Pierce has any room to be calling some one a punk. I seem to remember him getting a little p.o.'d when we played them because Mike Karney was killing him all day, and he eventually took a cheap shot at him after the play and got a personal foul. Though I did just gain a little respect for him.

I really wish he woud have taken the Saints offer two years ago. He is really good.

He may only be paying lipservice, but it's good to hear nevertheless.

As far as the personal foul - he got penalized for it, move on. Frustration in a game doesn't equate to pre-meditated and intentional animal cruelty.

this is my situation exactly. i do not breed them but i rescue them and own one full and one catahoula/pit mix. my dogs are good but this kind of abuse of the animals causes people to cross the street when i walk my dogs. it is one of the ultimate frustrations of owning one of the breed. i have people ask me about once a week about breeding my dog. i tell them if you can prove to me beyond any doubt that they will not be involved in any fighting, then i would be happy to. so far only one person in oregon, where i got him, was capable of that. so i applaud nfl players like pierce who stand up as good people who, like me, care about the breed. these dogs are some of the most loving dogs i have ever had, and i've had a few different breeds- even more loving than labradors.
 
Yeah I don't like when people blame the dogs, there isn't bad dogs only bad owners. It was nice to hear Antonio speak out, especially after clinton portis' comments.
 
Aww come on people, I think VICK is a total punk too for this, but we want him to stay in the league so that we have two easy wins against Atlanta. If he goes, then anybody else who knows how to pass can step in and do so much better.

If I'm not mistaken, other than 2006, hasn't Vick completely owned us?
 
I've been rather busy lately and must have missed something. I have to think he's pretty dog-gone tough to fight pit-bull(s). Especially if it is more than one at a time. Bare-handed I assume? Those things get big and can be vicious. I sure wouldn't want to have to fight one...and certainly wouldn't do it intentionally.
Ya'll are just a bunch of Vick-haters!
 
I hope this helps end this barbaric sport. And for the life of me I can't understand why Vick would do something so damaging to himself and his team. That's why I still have a hard time totally buying into the conjecture of his guilt.
