Anybody purchased or used a Roku streaming stick 4K ? Thinking about getting one . Thanks (2 Viewers)

I have gotten latency from the sticks, they struggled with my wifi. I ultimately replaced the TV to one that has the app built into the
TV and has a cat 5 port so I can hardwire it.

For an old or non-smart TV, a Roku stick is a must-have for streaming channels. We have three.

It's for our non-smart Sony TV which is about 10 years old but awesome picture and never any problems , just thought I'd turn into a smart TV , Roku stick was suggested by one of my long time customers .

As long as the TV has an HDMI port then it's a good option. I recently bought a small 32" Roku TV for our workout room. It works great. Keep in mind it's not like you're used to with traditional cable/satellite service. When you turn on the TV and the stick, you'll have to select what you want to watch, instead of having the cable/satellite programming already showing.

2 of my roku's are having trouble staying connected with my internet but the other 3 are fine. i'm assuming these 2 are older.

probably buy a smart tv when i need one. but my 15 year old samsung 52" is still going strong so i cant justify trashing it even though i want that 65"

I use one on a non-smart tv and one on a smart tv that doesn't have a very good wifi connection. The stick works great for me. One thing I learned is that I had to plug the power for the stick into my tv so that the stick turned off when I turned the tv off. When it was powered by the AC adapter, my bandwidth usage went way up, even with the tv off.

Thanks Sailor , I guess I'll just have to learn how to use it.

I was in a similar boat. I just gave my son the old LCD Sony which still works great and pic still looks new and got the new 65" Sony. No regrets.

I have a couple Roku Tvs, and have had a stick, but compared to Firesticks and Google Streaming boxes, IMO, the Roku interface is just slow and clunky compared to the others..
I ended up putting a Firestick on one and a Nvida Shield (Google interface) on the other.

I have 5. I bought them because they are the only platform that supports my Spectrum App. I got rid of all my cable boxes and replaced them with these. Saved me a bunch of money on monthly payments for equipment and DVR service. I now get all my cable channels with no boxes, and all my apps in one place. I’m happy.
