Wordle
Quordle
Nerdle

There are others. I was thinking about creating one with chemical solutions (like H2NO3) or physics equations or something that could be quantified like that.

I stopped playing this week. There have been a string a words that were just a pure guessing game: Skill, Shill, Spill, Still, Swill. Even if you got S_ILL on the second try, it's pure luck if you guess the correct word. Words that vague aren't fun at all.

I quit playing after this "loss":

Sometimes when you've got 4 letters, but still half the alphabet to go, you have to ignore what you've already found and pick a single word that takes out as many remaining letters as possible.

For example, by turn 2, you've ruled out A, U, D, I, O, S, N, D. That's 8 letters in 2 turns. By turn 6, you'd only added 4 additional letters.

Instead, you should think about all of the "_OUND" options and how to combine as many of them as possible into single words to kill as many birds with a single stone as possible. Your only real goal to keep the streak alive is to find the missing letter with one turn left.

Once you had "SOUND," the only possible combinations that could go with "_OUND" were P, R, W, F, B, H, and M. However, this also indicates that you can't guarantee a win by just guessing (which you found out).

If you had tried the word "PROBE" you would have knocked out 3 possibilities in one turn (and would have found the right answer). "BROOM" knocks out two more, and you're on turn 4. You've got 2 possible letters left, and 2 guesses left. Guaranteed win.

My current running streak is 28, lol.

I picked up this strategy from somewhere- first 3 rows do not repeat any letters
I’ll almost always get it by row 4 or 5
300 so far and maybe only 4 losses

I either play adieu or audio as the first clue. The next clue will use anything found along with letters like S,T, R, L, and N which are popular. After that, it is studying the board. Quordle is a bit more involved, but I can usually find 2 of the words by guess 4.

On Nerdle, I start with an equation using 6 of the available numbers on the first clue like:

98-75=23 (leaving 0, 1, 4 and 6) I had an equation the other night that was much like the complaint about Wordle where you're trying to find one letter. One number in the equation affected the last number in the equation because they were the same (I should've taken a pic) and the equation worked with several numbers, like changing 5 in the equation and 5 in the answer. 4 yielded a good equation, 3 did too. I finally got it on the last guess because it was the only number left to try.

Wordle. But I wish it was harder. To make it challenging, play the same three words and then try to nail it in row 4.

Nerdle is surprisingly easier than wordle.

Reminds me of Mastermind when I was a kid.

My opening word on wordle is STARE.

Three most popular consonants and 2 most popular vowels.
