Where do they rank in the teams looking for a coach.
I see the Browns as dead last because of Watson.
Jets have one of the worse owners in the League.
Philly has a QB
Jacksonville is a question mark.
In Dallas, you deal with the Jones family.

Third or fourth on that list. Definitely better than Jacksonville or Cleveland. In competition with the Jets. Behind the Eagles and Cowboys.

Its very hard to assume Allen will get fired. Especially when Loomis last week was rattling off all these HOF coaches who struggled in thier first few seasons. Then tied it in to Allen.

Im convinced there is no pressure in the Saints organization

This is a hypothetical discussion, so I will offer my thoughts. The attractiveness of the Saints job will depend on who the general manager is and how the organization views the team and its near future. If the organization's believes that the team's talent exceeds its recent production and that the team should contend in 2025, I am not sure that the top coaching candidates will be lining up. If the organization is willing to concede that a rebuild on several level is overdue and that it will be patient with its new coach, the Saints job will be more attractive.

If he gets embarrassed on Thursday by Bo Nix and Sean Payton there's no way he's not gone immediately imo. A close loss buys him until the bye week and another shot at Atlanta and three very winnable games to get us back to around .500. If we drop ATL, CAR or CLE he's gone at the bye.

A GM will never put his HC on the hot seat publicly before they get their pink slip.

Everything in DA’s tenure has led to the Payton game.
He pulls another Bucs game and he’s gone on the spot.

Dennis Allen has been given everything he has asked for. To be a head coach. He got his quarterback. He got a new offensive coordinator. He got a new offensive coaching staff. And what has he shown for it? A 2-4 record with embarrassing losses at home and on national television.

He must be fired or the Saints will lose fans.

So, assuming he goes, the Saints will be on par with the Jaguars and Browns in line for quality head coaching destinations: at the bottom. I figure the below teams will be in the hunt for a new head coach come January:

Jets
Jaguars
Cowboys
Saints
Raiders
Browns
Giants
**Wild Card = Titans

I don’t think anyone can be compared to the Browns at this point.

The Saints with their salary cap situation (after kicking the can down the road for years all those bills are finally coming due) give the Browns a run for the worst HC job. The new coach will be hamstrung by an old/injured roster, lots of dead money, and I suspect a lot of players wanting out (Olave). This team desperately needs new leadership from the very top down. Having Loomis pick the team’s next Head Coach is the recipe for another decade of struggle…….

You have a job with zero salary cap freedom for 3 years. Tough sell. You gonna tell a coach that we are going to be limited in what you can do.

New coaches want to flip over rosters. We can't.

Think this year is a bit different as regards to Allen. You allowed him to go out and get his guys in the offseason. Even Nick Underhill made it sound like this was a sink or swim year for Allen before all those hires were made. You can blame injuries to the O.line but that doesn't have much to do with how the defense has looked over the past 4 weeks. Tight-Ends, crossing routes, big backs have had their way with the Saints defense.
