Figured it was time to give him his own thread, I've been waiting to do this.. LoL..

Welp, while the season is now officially over, I can't help but be excited for the upside of Mr. Perry.. I was hyped on him pre-draft watching that YouTube vid, and he's done nothing but lived up to his own expectations & will be a perfect compliment to Olave/Shaheed.. he's so smart with his positioning, knows how to use that big frame & hands.. seems lately he's been making the big catches (& scores) at just the right time..reminds me a LOT of another late round Saints WR that ended up being not too shabby..

So, here's to AT, glad he's a Saint.. he's special, and only a rookie with much more to come!

I posted this before but I just gotta do it again, especially after having a nice rookie campaign..

He's awesome. Hopefully this young WR core is still around whenever we decide to move on from Allen and this staff, but my fear is that it'll be too late.

This video?

Indeed.. that was the video that sold me hook, line and sinker... most guys pre-draft are, how should I put this, almost too confident.. but when you listen to AT in that interview, he seems very humble and intelligent.. the funny thing is I watched that vid after the Saints drafted him just to see what they got..

Been a huge fan ever since, wasn't sure if he was going to see the field or not this year, but glad he did.. he's lived up to that vid perfectly, and for those who haven't seen it, see it.. he's gonna be a really good Saint!

6th round pick..... smh..

I was thrilled when we actually picked him because I watched that video when it dropped and I hoped the Saints would get him day two. That we got him in the 6th, plus his playstyle gives me heavy Colston vibes. Plus IIRC his WR coach at Wake Forest was also Colston's coach at Hofstra.

I was really excited for him coming into the season and he ended up having a solid rookie year. I think he has a lot of upside as a #3 WR.

I do think the saints need one more guy(Keon Coleman?) though.

I am a big AT backer, he has managed to improve tremendously throughout the season.
As much as I like the idea of continuing to load up on high capital WRs, I think we just have greater needs in too many other areas (to nab a Coleman). With OIave, Shaheed and Perry we could be pretty well off, and then just make sure to grab another mid round WR that slips do to the deep draft at that position. Really, a stud TE makes more sense than a WR for early in the draft.

That is fair we could be better off with a renfrow and taking best pass rusher or Oline available.
