Barbs aimed at Brees are way off target (1 Viewer)

well yeahhhh, Good article Tripp, man I always hated English classes all the way through college, but being a sports writer sure seems easy lol. Thanks Mike for stating the obvious in an ESPN article, now watch your back... you kind of called RayRay bs and right or not, he don't care.

Who Dat!

Well, the gig was nice while it lasted Mike. At least you're tough enough to call it like it is instead of toeing the company line.

Trip just got himself fired for not adhering to the company memo.

That was my thought exactly. However; I'm sure Tripp knows that termination may result from this article. I really respect Tripp a great deal. He showed with his later articles on Bountygate that he was not a lemming. In this world of follow-the-leader journalism he is the most dangerous kind of writer. He is not only an independent thinker but, he is also a man with integrity. I hope he doesn't suffer because of it.

I don't think he keeps his job. ESPN expects everyone to hold the company line. I hope he does get to stick around, though. Great article.

Its just the frustration with the many in the nation and media against the Saints. Winners eventually become disliked by everyone, because its not their team winning. It is amazing how everyone is really being critical of Brees though.

But that's fine. Brees is probably going to come out really ticked off Thursday night. Get ready for a crazy effort ATL. He'll probably break some new crazy record on you now. Thanks Niners and ESPN talking fools.

Tripp will not get fired for this. His editor approved it and passed it through. This is just another piece of the full ESPN puzzle. You see, now they can say that, as a company, they are providing "balanced reporting."

Exactly. And with Schefter just tweeting about Ray Lewis offering to pay Brooks' fine, you know this is a company-driven thing. They have an axe to grind.

I can't believe ESPN let that out. I guess they figure only Saints fans read that blog, so they'd rather try to keep us around.
