The Eagles bet on the long game yesterday and we finally broke.. Remember, as much as Eagles fans want to brag about owning the line of scrimmage, they couldn’t score on us for 3 QUARTERS..
They finally broke it open in the 4th…A 61 yard clusterfrick of a miss by the Saints DB’s and that long embarrassing run by Saquon. If we contain both of those plays even to less yardage, there’s a good case to be made that we win.
Our Defense was a TURNOVER MACHINE yesterday. Kubiak & Co came back to earth yesterday and bear a lot of the brunt for being unable to score so many times when our defense handed them the keys.
The good news is that our defense to me looks better than last year…but we HAVE to contain these big plays. Our offense was indeed hurt by losing a few players, but we couldn’t pinch it in WITH those guys either.
We barely lost to a SB contender. We’re fine. Regroup and hopefully we’ll get revenge on em in the postseason.
