I have the soundtrack. There are not one, but two different songs on the soundtrack called "Heavy Metal".

Old obscure movies is one of my specialties...I remember heavy metal for sure. I'll see your heavy metal and raise you a Corvette summer.

Who remembers the movie Heavy Metal?

Watching it now. Wonder if this is where Elon Musk got the idea to launch a convertible into space
One of the voice-over actors in one of the more-humurous, somewhat scary segments where some irredeemably corrupt Space Federation officer was going to use some low-intelligent, idiotic private named Hanover Fiste to testify on his behalf as a way of convincing his judges that he wasn't some despicable, immoral creep who used underage orphan women or nuns at monasteries as prostitutes, well...things go badly quickly when Fiste picks up that evil, glowing ball that corrupts and distorts whoever comes into contact with it.

The Canadian actor voicing that morally devoid Space Federation officer on trial was a young Eugene Levy, who would later go on to co-create, co-produce and star in Schitts Creek some 35 years later.
