First off, this person, and I use the term person loosely because I don’t want to get banned, after one of our biggest blow out wins in years had the audacity to say “closed mouths don’t get fed.”

Two to three weeks later, during an absolutely crucial 3rd or 4th down play, this person had the audacity to alligator arm a ball that could’ve at least kept us in contention for the playoffs.

And during this time a huge portion of fans wanted to defend this “person.”

So we trade him for a late first round pick, queue the forum melt down.

Well, we only got a durable pro bowl caliber right tackle out of the ordeal.

Fast forward another year, and this persons refusal to make a move up field gets him knocked out of the biggest game of his career.

So he gets traded, again.

And once again, finds himself in the super bowl.

Where he drops two crucial passes and had the key play of the game go as an interception because he can’t make a play on the ball.

This dude is a joke of a “#1 receiver.” He was supposed to have a good attitude and a great work ethic, and is a selfish “person” and a wasted draft pick. One of the very few karma ordeals I can get from watching the part 2 Super Bowls, is watching him fail.

The fact we even have a chance at winning it all next year, is our ability to part ways with this, person.

So all I have to say is...

He’s not a number one guy. Decent 2 and a dangerous deep threat.

Exactly. Is not willing to take the big hit to make a catch like Antonio Brown and great ones do. Does not like contact at all. That’s his downfall.

Cooks can catch if he’s open and can run if he has open field in front of him. Anything else, he’s below average.

Me and my buddy were talking about this earlier. He had an opportunity to be a perfect foil to MT and maybe even see some things in MT that helps himself take the next step and really elevate his game to that superstar level and he just moaned about it. Now all he really amounts to is a deep threat, albeit with good hands, that shys away from contact so much so that he often fails to challenge defenders for the ball. With a great QB even that player could be really useful to an offense, but on the two teams he was on with great QB's he found a way to wear out his welcome. Now he's stuck with Goff who can't do anything unless McVay is making his reads and adjustments for him.
