Just saying.

I'm assuming a win by KC next week.

Throw in 2009 Manning 14-1 Brees 13-2

Throw in 2006 Chargers 14-2 Saints 10-6

Brees: higher completion % (NFL record), higher TD-INT ratio, fewer INT’s, higher QB rating, better team record, 6 4th quarter comebacks, 7 game winning drives

Mahomes: more yards, more TD’s

The defense rests.

It's overwhelming when you put it that way.

Lol.

Brees 4-0 in the biggest games of the year

Atlanta road game - for early control of the division
Baltimore road game - finally beats them
Rams - take over the 1 seed
Steelers - clinch the 1 seed

Mahomes 0-4 in the biggest games of the year

Patriots - first half turnovers puts them in a bind
Rams - 5 turnovers yikes
Chargers - puts 1 seed in jeopardy
Seahawks - fails to clinch 1 seed

Brees got it done on the road in hostile territory more often this season, too. Only the stall-out in Dallas was the blemish. Mahomes on the other hand lost in Seattle tonight and in Los Angeles at midseason.

It is pretty overwhelming, LOL. That’s not even mentioning for a while it was looking like Brees was going to break Rodgers’ single season QB rating record too.

This, and Mahomes also lost in New England.

I saw that game and Mahomes didn't lose it. The KC atrocious defense did.

With that said, I believe Brees deserves to be firmly in the hunt for MVP even if he doesn't win it, but that he is not going to be in the hunt at all. All that will happen is that he MIGHT be at the ceremony and receive less than five votes.

That's the best he can hope for. That's the best he can ever hope for, no matter what. It's all he's ever been given.
