Article Bryce Young is dwarfed by his teammate (1 Viewer)

He’s going to be out of the league in 8 years. I’m all for the little guy, being one myself but 5’10 180 is too small to play in the nfl.

Young weighed 204 at the combine. Lowest he’s been listed at was 194 before that. He’s never been a running QB so he won’t take many hits on his own. Unless he has a career changing injury in the pocket, at worst, he’ll always have a job for at least a decade as a former #1 pick.

Meh... Fran Tarkenton was about the same size and played 18 years, in a much rougher era of the NFL. So it can be done. We will see...
Well he's pretty much Kyler Murray's size so there's an example of his stature in the league.

Rougher, yes, but we just took a 6'5" DE who runs a 4.58 40 and none of those maulers in that era were anywhere close to that fast.

Agreed... but QBs today live in a rules protection bubble... Especially the NFL poster boys. Back then.... they were legally hunted before, during, and after the whistle. And Fran was a running / scrambling QB too.

He weighed 204 at the combine. He refused to be weighed at his proday. 204 is his weight filled with sonic blasts and cheeseburgers. He played closer to 180-185. He’s not a big dude and his frame isn’t going to allow him to bulk up much.

Fran Tarkenton? Nah, he was taller than 5’ 10” Bryce Young is the same height as Doug Flutie.

Of course everyone was smaller back then.
