N/S Cam Newton finally owns up to missed opportunity in the SB (1 Viewer)

Still not a fan but at least he finally realizes the opportunity he let slip away

It’s extremely rare for a team, to face an opponent in the SB, where the opposition has a QB that can’t throw over 15 yards. The Panthers blew a golden opportunity. Sure the Broncos defense came to play, but the Panthers wasted way too many opportunities and Cam should’ve jumped on that dang ball. No hindsight or excuses. If you can’t have that “once in a lifetime” mindset going into that game, then you deserve every bad thing that happens in the game. He disgraced the Superman mantra he believed that he played with.

The only joy I found in it was sending this to several friends of mine who are Panthers/Cam fans. They defended him up and down to me after that... saying he did the right thing or that he wasn't close enough, etc.

Much like Russ his career went downhill after a SB botch. Though Wilson's downhill was more gradual and less noticable and was hidden by some Stat feasting
