I believe he will go to the PS. Though I'm hoping he makes the roster. But as someone said earlier, there are more experienced Safeties ahead of him on the team. When he does go on the PS, I hope no one poaches him. He has made some plays. He had two solid stops in the 4th qtr. in last weeks game and a couple of PBU's the week before.

At this time hes beeing out played by Ugo Howden and Yiadom, hes a PS elevation later in the season

I think it depends on when the NFL suspends Marcus Maye. If it’s first 2-3 games he will likely make the first 53. If Maye avoids this or gets games off later then PS

Hopefully he won't get poached, but for now I see him as a practice squad candidate. With Maye's pending suspension looming, I believe the team will go with a veteran in the defensive backfield over Smoke.

From what I hear, Howden has been getting a lot of reps with the first team. Ross Jackson thinks Howden will be they guy who fills in for Maye while he's out.

Off topic, but I wonder what the teams vision for Ugo Amadi is. I feel like he's played well and has to be a lock to make this team, he gives us quality snaps at safety, special teams, and the team seems to like him in the slot too should anything happen to Roby.

Really liked what I saw from him in both preseason games.

As for Monday, I was hoping that he'd have been higher on the depth chart by now but Howden has looked real good. I see Monday making the PS easily without risk of being sniped.

Ironically, I was jus listening to a Ross Jackson podcast where he brought up Ugo as well. Like you, Ross really likes his play n esp his versatility to play multiple positions on D and STs, ala former Saint PJ Williams. And I think he’s got a lil “swag” in him too!

Meanwhile, IMO, the team has been really impressed with Jordan Howden since OTAs! During TC, I read where he’s been running a lot with the 1s, at either S spot, as the #2 safety behind BOTH Mathieu n Maye.

So the numbers alone say Smoke likely won’t make the 53, but I think he’s played pretty well. So I hope he makes the PS.
