We need a guy that can penalize a defense for losing track of him.

It’s become easy to shut an offense down that has a statue at QB. It is rare that a play works perfectly. Buying time helps the receivers and offensive lineman.

So whoever it is next , he needs a set of legs.

Alternatively, deliberately stink for another year (something I will never be in favour of) and draft Arch Manning.

Now, I didn't get to see the game because I'm at Busch Gardens with the grandkids, so I don't know how he looked today.

We need a complete rebuild, but idk if Loomis and co. will ever actually go for it. I’m just hoping that we can get a new coaching staff next year that knows how to build a culture and develop a winning mentality. As it currently stands and with an eye on building a foundation that can hopefully develop into a playoff team within the next 5 years, we need new starters at QB, OT (maybe Fuaga moving back to RT if needed), OG, WR, TE, DE, DT, MLB, CB, and S if we hope to have a chance.

Of course not all can or will be obtained through FA and the draft in the next offseason nor do all of those positions need to be replaced with all star level talent. It’s just that starters at all those spots will be needed due to players either aging, needing new contracts we shouldn’t pay if we’re rebuilding, or they just aren’t very good. What I think would be best for us is to get a top 5 pick that we then trade in order to get at least an additional 1st rounder in 2026 and extra ammo in 2025/26. We need to select the best player available if we keep the pick regardless of position or just hope that there’s another player there that someone else is in in love with who will give us a Trubiski type haul. We can’t pass on a stud WR, OT, DE, DT, MLB, or CB for a reach at QB. Let someone else do that and pay us out the *** for a reach top 10 QB.

Dolphins, Jets, Raiders, Browns, Titans, Giants, Rams, and Panthers are all in the same boat as us with 2 wins or less that are vying for positioning in the top of the draft next year that all will be looking for a new starting QB. Hopefully we will be picking ahead of most of those teams, and one of them will be willing to trade their 1st and 2nd in 2025 with a 1st and 3rd in 2026. 49ers, Jags, Patriots, Cowboys, and Bengals could also be top 10 in the draft, but they already have QBs they want to develop around, so they wouldn’t be looking to trade up like that most likely unless they fall in love with a different prospect.
