Post draft, Post fishman trade where do we stand?

we "need" a Te and a Lb. i think we have the cash to grab the best available of each, sign our class and roll over a few bucks.

Rookies will only count against half of our remaining cap. We’ll have around $8M in cap space after they’re signed. That’s a lot to work with to add another TE, LB and DL.

I think we are OK at DL. But we need a tight end and linebacker desperately.

Rookies will only cost about 3 mil. They replace another contract in the top 51.
Even better. I believe we had $16 million in cap space before the Trautman trade. About $2.5M more freed up afterwards. Post trade and including rookie contracts, our cap stays around the same amount.

Trading Trautman nearly covered the rookie deals. We’ll definitely be able to sign two more impactful depth players.

The $16.8M is as of today and included the trade of Trout and it also includes a few of the UDFA's the Saints have signed.
