Why is that O.K. (they didn't only say it but they went out and did it). Sometimes bravado in the locker room is just that but here he talks like its part of the game...after today you have to wonder how he can say what he says in the video the Niners not be disciplined.

listen to 1:25 on.

How many players did they knock out of games this year....(like 8-10) How many did we knock out (we would have been lucky to have knocked out 1)

They didn't get payed, apparently that makes it totally morally acceptable. Of course player safety isn't an issue when players don't get paid for it as well.

Or maybe it's because he's been honest from the start and not lied to Goodell. Maybe thats it.

you always get paid to knock the other player out, this is known as the sport of football.

We are being punishised for "unofficial " payments off the books and "lying" to God-king Goodell Almighty.

Its because its part of the game....you want to knock a guy out within the rules. The hit on Pierre was legal and within the rules. Period.

The hi low hit on Favre while illegal was obviously NOT PLANNED. For two defenders to decide to go high low@ split second moment..especially if they don't know they are going to sniff the QB is impossible.

Its dumb to even think its possible

Attempting to knock a player out of the game is a part of football.
You don't think the Iggles were excited about Laying Reggie Bush out back in 06? It was within the rules and it was a hell of a hit. The object is to inflict pain not cause injury. Screw the league and screw anyone else who attempts to argue otherwise. Obviously this was not a bounty the way its being painted.

A bounty on a player would involve me attempting to knock him out by all means. Blow to the kidney, cheapshot, twisting his kneck, uppercutting his testicles, twisting his ankle under the pile, aiming for a knee.

^^ This in my eyes would be a bounty on a players head.

Now you show me where saints defenders were doing anything illegal/cheapshottish tht was meant to injure a player and I'll digress. Other than that Goodell is full of whale blubber.

Um im sorry but Helmet to Helmet contact is not legal and that hit was all helmet to helmet
there for not a legal hit and should have been a penalty and a fine for rogers . how many times did the saints get flaged for helmet to helmet last year when it could clearly be seen in most of them were not helmet to helmet hits

Helmet to helmet on a RUNNER is LEGAL.

Here is the rule...the post was about the intent to knock a player out not whether the Whitner hit was legal.
We had columnn evidently the kept track of knockout shots.
