I think most people n this board are working with outdated QB rankings from early on when the media closed the window on anyone other than Shedeur and Cam.The more I look into Shedeur the less I like his ability as a QB.

The opposite is true of Jaxson Dart. He’s a much better passer and processor than I thought. And he has successfully worked with pro concepts of full field reads such as dagger. And produced vs various defenses.

There’s a good reason that he lead the nation in big time throws. His bread and butter is actually play action out of shotgun. Last year with the eagles Hurts did not line up under center on most plays. They played out of the pistol. So the under center dynamic is not such a big deal.

I will show three pieces of media to show why Dart is worthy of pick 9 in this draft class.

Dart performed better with PA and Moore can use that to the team’s advantage and improve on the non PA metrics.

2. Chase Daniels breaks down Dart vs Georgia

3. Kurt Warner breaks down Dart vs Florida

The league is much higher on Dart than media or fans.

I still don't really think Dart should be a first round pick, but I'm fine with taking him in the first if Moore thinks he is worth it. He obviously knows a lot more than I do about QB evaluation.

And, given our QB situation without Carr, I'm more okay with reaching a bit for a QB that Moore likes.

I think Dart, McCord, Ward, and Shough have the highest upside in the draft.

There’s a couple other QBs that if they get with the right coach and offense they could be dynamic.

And I could be dead wrong and they all end up flopping or being amazing haha

I hate reaching for a QB, but everything is different with Carr’s injury. With three former NFL quarterbacks on the staff, I have some confidence that they will make a good choice, even if it’s to roll with Rattler.

My line of thinking is pretty simple when it comes to selecting a quarterback this draft:

Take whoever you want so as long as you're not giving up future premium picks to do so (ie future 1sts or 2nds), UNLESS that quarterbacks name is Jalen Milroe (Just please don't draft)

Well if we draft a QB, expect another long season. I would rather just give Rattler the chance.
I agree. Rebuild the roster first.
Forcing ourselves into picking a bad qb is a terrible draft strategy even worse when everybody says that our OL is bad and we don't have targets (on the field).

Payton Turner and Marcus Davenport had “high upside “
