When a player lands at No. 2 in the draft they immediately land larger-than-life expectations for how they can impact a franchise. Chase Young didn’t always live up to those expectations in Washington. So far so good with the Saints.

Even w/the so called “effort” & “motivational” issues, Young’s measurables are elite. I mean, he still managed to get 7.5 sacks in the years he was healthy enough to suit up. On that note, the only true issues w/Young is his durability & availability. Hopefully the journey humbled him a bit & made him a better pro. If Young can stay healthy, im almost certain that he’ll get double digit sacks & TFLs for us. & at that point…PAY THE MAN, & make him a Saint long term.

I feel the spirit of Davenport lives on. Both have such great talent but cant stay healthy. Though it seems like injuries have killed Davs talent now
