Yes, the root of it all actually, but it was tolerated because he wins. I knew far in advance, my scout buddy told me he was an evil prick when he was the Michigan State coach. He said I should be ready for a high transfer rate, a high early departure rate, and a musical assistants game going amongst his staff... but that he was a coach who understood the necessity of keeping opponents off balance, kept discipline, and demanded flawless execution.
