I hope he learns a lesson on that, he should of took off and run.Glad that “spike” after his great catch spun out of bounds. Did y’all see the defender try to pick it up?

Many (including teammates & coaches) have commented that he was NOT touched. He was down!
Defender was touching him when Olave was going down.
(I'm sure Olave knows the rules...)
yes,, he was. Many (including teammates & coaches) have commented that he was NOT touched.
Pretty sure contact has to be after you touch/catch the ball, he was touched before getting possession of the ball. The defender was grabbing his arm as he was going down, that’s why he was reaching out with 1 hand. Contact going to the ground counts. You don’t have to be touched while you are down. That’s why you see Qb’s and other players shoved to the ground. They don’t get up and run after.
The rule has nothing to do with "during the fall" The receiver has to establish possession, then if he is touched and hits the ground he is down. In this case Olave tipped the ball while he was being interfered with bounced it up and then established possession while the DB had his hands in the air pretending like he wasn't grabbing Olave for the last 10 yards.yes,, he was.
Anytime "during the fall", if a defender touches you, you are down.
The DB clearly was touching him - remember, everyone was screaming "Where's the flag for PI?"
