Chris Paul had a big collision with one of the Cav players just now. Either took a head or shoulder to his head(hard to tell as I'm watching on the computer). They just put him on a stretcher and put a neck brace on him. Doctors and training staff from both sides were attending to him.

Sucks, but here's hoping it's just a concussion or something.

They just said that he was transferred onto another stretcher outside and put in an ambulance and will brought to the hospital in Cleveland for evaluation. They said he was talking to Byron Scott's wife(who's friends with Chris' mom) and moving his arms and legs..which are all great signs.

This might sound extreme, but If I thought this was remotely intentional, they'd better have 4-5 cops dragging me away from that **** player who knocked Paul out. He can say later what happened was an "accident" while I'll say I corrected his "mistake". I'm gosh darned mean it. I've always wondered how many injuries occured to sports stars go from being unintentional to deliberate behind closed doors.

It definitely didn't look intentional. They were going for a loose ball, if I remember correctly, and just collided.

No more updates so far.

I'm sorry, Shane, I just overreacted. Hate to see this happen to one of best players in NO sports history, it hurts, not because his importance to the Hornets playoff chances but that unlike other media-obsessed NBA stars, Paul's a rare throwback to when players were celebrities for their playing styles, competitiveness, high gaming IQ. Arguably singled-handedly saved the Hornets in New Orleans 3 years ago, aside from Brees, there haven't been many who've made such an enormous impact individually in NO sports history, and La.(and) NO's legacy of producing great homegrown talent in all 3 major sports is well-known.

I hear ya man. No need to appologize to me. Everyone has their opinion.

Updated 8:56 p.m. EST: Chris Paul's older brother informs fans on Twitter that Paul's "ok." He says that Paul wanted to get off the stretcher and play. Everything's looking good for this situation.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear CP3 is ok!

I hope Chris is okay, and hopefully will be on the court before to long.

J. Jack has been playing out of his mind the last couple of games though, so hopefully we can still stay in the run of things.
