Colston question (1 Viewer)

Hello all I have been roaming the board for a month now, and finally got my account activated after a couple of days of waiting. I have a rather simple question as my first post. I remember reading somewhere that Colston has gotten bigger, put on some muscle, and now weighs even more than last season. Does anyone know if this is true and how much he weighs?

Guess we will find out at TC. That is what counts. If he did and didn't lose any speed then more power to him. The defenders would really be at a disavantage.

This is my first post too. I met Colston last thursday. He was sighning autographs in Monroe La. He seemed nice, things were rushed because practice ran late and he (and agent)drove from New Orleans. But from my standpoint he looked in shape. But what do I know. Good experience though. Go Saints!

I was reading....and I apologize that I can't remember what article......I'm sure it was on the news page, that colston put on 10 pounds of muscle and didn't lose any speed. That would put him in the 240lb range.

(edit) he is listed at 230 on the official site. I don't know if that is the updated weight, but I was thinking he came in at 234 last year.

Wow. Who are you going to put on him? A corner who would be outmuscled. A safety who can also be outmuscled or outran.

Colston makes every corner small,thats why brees throws it high to him, so he is the only one to get it.

I know in the mini-camp pics posted by Dubya, Colston looked bigger, and Copper looked HUGE! Meachem is no pee wee either.

Not sure where it came from that Meachem was still way overweight by the full squad minicamp (he showed up +19 lbs for the rookie minicamp, remember?), because looking at Dubya's pics just now, the dude is just a specimen. Hell, just about all the skill position folks look pretty impressive nowadays under Dalrymple.

I dont think Colston is 240pds, I dont think Payton would want him to be that big and in the Pictures he didnt look 240pds, he looked the same to me 225-230pds.

I believe that if Colston played at 250 and was healthy quick and productive, Payton would be tickled pink....er black and gold. He likes big receivers. Payton just doesn't like unhealthy weight.

We all know roster listings exaggerate or diminish true heights and weights, but Colston came into the league at a 235 lb range, he may have lost some weight last year, but he definately added some this offseason. You do the math. BTW......he is 6'4". 240 at thatt height looks a little different than at 6'0".

i went to the saturday morning minicamp and colston is massive. he towered over all other receivers and db's. in one on one drills he went against mckenzie. colston ran a 7 yard comeback and mckenzie was all over it...but brees and colston connected beautifully b/c mckenzie couldn't get around colston!! colston was too big, too much muscle! mckenzie couldn't have read the play any better an dyet the copletion was made. colston will have a HUGE year.
