Cowboys LT Tyron Smith suffers avulsion fracture of knee, out until at least December

Tyron Smith suffered an avulsion fracture of the knee in Wednesday's practice and needs surgery, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday. Smith won't be back on the field until December, if at all this season.

He hasn't taken 1 snap at tackle since he's been drafted. He was working at LG (and he wasn't gonna start there either). He's not ready or LT, but they do have 2 weeks to get him right.

They might fix thier line but it will take a while. Plud they have serious talent holes on that Roster. Soon they will have to Re-pay Dak again. This team appears it will be mediocre for a good while

From a Saints perspective, part of me wants the Cowboys to tank this year, aside from my normal aversion to the Cowboys. I want Mike McCarthy gone and Jerry Jones to make a ridiculous trade offer to the Saints to get Sean Payton.
I am all in on the Dennis Allen train. We can't look back. The Saints need someone to be willing to give up multiple picks for Payton. The Cowboys are the best candidate in my opinion for a team with a coach on the hot seat and a franchise Payton would want to coach now that Miami has made its bed. It is where Parcells went and he got his grooming. They have a decent quarterback.

Although I would like the Cowboys to beat the Bucs week 1, after that they can go 1-16.
