Just wanted to share with the Who Dat nation a different view of how awesome and cool our players are.

He stopped by today to dine with his wife and kid. Very chill and cool guy. Didn’t want to bother his family much and interrupt his meal. When he was almost done with his meal, I stopped by and checked up on his family. Conversation evolved from his experience with our food to what he thought about the Super Bowl, to the way the Rams game ended.

On the game with the Rams: entire locker room was just quiet and shocked after that game. It wasn’t like the Minnesota game where the other team made a play, but he feels like they were wronged. Very passionate when discussing this. Bottom line is we shouldn’t have had to win the game twice. Game should’ve been over on that missed PI call.
On the Demario interception, he said you could feel everything in the building shaking.

On Super Bowl: Normally, he would have a Super Bowl party, but this year nothing. Was glad the Patriots won, because he also has some friends on the Pats he was rooting for. Said if Rams won, entire team would be even more mad. Thing that stuck out was he said “This is what Roger wanted”. Said “3 points?” and we all laughed and agreed Saints would’ve put up way more than 3 points.

He saw our 2009 Super Bowl framed art. Said he wanted to have a pic in front of it. Very glad he is a member of our team.

I’ll try to add other things we spoke about but for now, all I got.

I hope we resign him. Outstanding depth. Never see much of a dropoff when he comes in. Can easily start when needed and gives us great play in relief and special teams.

He is one of those unsung guys who make the difference between a good team and an elite one.

Thanks for sharing. Would be cool to know how many of the guys were able to be at some of the boycott festivities & what the team thought about how the city turned out for them.

I was scrolling down and saw the top of that turquoise colored shirt, and I just knew it was going to be a clown-boy special! I was mildly disappointed.
Cool story though!

Great post; thanks for sharing. Love the part about "3 points;" that's what Roger the Dodger wanted!

If anybody beats Craig R. out on the '19 roster, then I'll know our LB'ers will be kick-arse! That's because he's a decent bar (as a backup), and it will take an outstanding talent to surpass where he and T'eo are on the roster.

:gosaints:

Hope Saints are willing and able to resign Robertson. He is key on special teams and appears to be an emotional leader on this team. Plus, he is quality depth for our LB corps.

I saw his post on IG and thought about heading up there lol. But then that would be creepy haha. He’s Mean Green alum so I’m sure he’s out here a lot in the offseason.

He is so unbelievably fiery, kind of the Mark Ingram of the special teams. I think it would be a mistake not to re-sign him. Can play some defense as well.

Like everyone said he is a great special teams player and always seems to bring a lot of energy to the defense when he plays in relief, and at moments makes you wonder why he doesn't start anymore. I do believe we have better starting linebackers, but he provides great depth. I hope he's still with us next year.
