I think I’m going to do it. I’m kind of technology challenged. What streaming apps do I need. Especially for live sports?

Search and there is a huge cut the cord thread with member’s personal take on the many options. Depends on what sports. Just NFL? Soccer?

There are so many options but need more information. So many free and paid combinations that it can make your head spin. First step is knowing what channels you need, can do without, and do you need to record?

you can buy a coaxial cutting tool from Amazon for about 20 bucks...scissors probably won’t work too well

I use the amazon fire stick for my streaming device the only tv I have that can install apps has a bad nic

mounted an antenna on roof with a tripod style mount , antenna has built in amp and motor that allows me to rotate it remotely with box at tv - though I never do

sling is only paid app I have mainly for LSU games and the ESPN Saints games - they offer several packages

amazon prime video from my general prime account

and the Cinema app for other content

antenna with tripod was about $70, I have 2 but 2nd is mounted in the attic so about $100 for 2 one time fee

sling is $35 subscription

fire stick was $35 one time

amazon $10 subscription

cinema - free

50 / 10 WAN connection about $70

other than the 2 play delay between radio and sling stream for Saints games I’m about $120 per month with amazon and WAN used for work etc

LSU can stream on radio app via wwl so the sling LSU games are a tic ahead of radio stream Vs the Saints 2 play delay do to no wwl radio stream

Nvidia Shield
Cinema HD
Sportz TV
Real Debrid (used with Cinema HD)
Netflix
Disney+
This is everything I use, nothing I can’t watch.

What’s the difference between Cyberflix and Cinema HD ? I use cyberflix with real debrid and don’t have many problems getting good content. Only problem is when looking for older movies.

I believe Cinema HD has ads.
Cyberflix doesn't. I use CF with RD and have no problems. link it up with Trakt and, boom, cord cut supreme. add Antenna and use a family members login for ESPN and never look back.
(I use an IPTV service, so I don't need the ESPN thing).

I want to do it, but every time I’m at someone’s house who has gone cable free it is so stressful trying to watch anything. Especially live sports.

Lag. Pixelated images. Constant buffering. Games playing from the wrong market. It’s just infuriating. I literally keep cable just for sports.
