Hopefully they go with Reich. I'd like to have Campbell for at least another year.

I am indifferent to Campbell. He seems like a great guy, but in terms of adding value to the offense...its Sean an Pete. I understand that doesn't mean everything, but if we were to lose him I am pretty confident we would do more than survive.

We'll be fine without Campbell. I'll be more upset if we lose A.Glenn.

Well, the negative here is that head coaches tend to bring assistants with them whom they have worked with at previous spots. Our coaching staff could potentially get ransacked.

Good for Dan,

I think he's one of the better up and coming coaches in the league.
If they do hire him, Indy may have dodged a bullet with McDaniel deciding to wimp out.

With everyone worried about Indy's coaching situation though, the real problem is going under the radar.....who will be their QB next season?

I doubt Payton would sign off on letting anyone just raid our coaching staff. We could block any and all interviews that aren't for legitimate promotions. And Campbell has plenty of contacts outside of the Saints organization to go to as well.

What's going to happen with the coordinators that have already been hired in Indy anyway? It isn't their fault McDaniels is a tool. Are they just assumed to be out regardless of who gets the HC gig?

He seems like exactly the kind of hire Indy would make. And I don't mean that in a good way.

The current word is that the whoever they hire will have to coach with the assistants that McDaniel hired and are already under contract.

I kinda figured that those contracts still had to be honored since they're with the Colts, not the HC. I'm sure there's a way for them to be bought out if the HC they want doesn't want those coordinators, but whoever takes this job already knows they weren't the first choice and would look pretty weak in taking the job in the first place. This really is a punk move by McDaniels. Looks like his agent just dropped him after this move too.

They know how Campbell performed replacing a fired head coach.

This is kind of a similar situation. Whoever gets the job, will inherit part of the staff.

I didn't know that, don't blame his agent at all!
This was a real punk move.

I didn't even think about it from that perspective. This would be familiar territory for Dan.

Since the coordinators are already there then our assistants are relatively safe as there can only be lateral moves available unless someone wants to manufacture an assistant head coach job. Unlikely because that is usually reserved for someone who is already a coordinator...am I right?
