Before Eli Apple
5 in 6 games (projects to 13 for the season)
13 sacks (projects to 35)

After Eli Apple
12 in 5 games (projects to 36 for the season)

The turnover rate since acquiring Apple is very similar to the 09 team (39 turnovers).

In order to really appreciate his impact to the defense, you have to look at the sack number prior and after his pickup along with the interceptions prior and post. His better coverage skills forces QB's to hold the ball a second longer so the DLine can get the sack. Tighter coverage and more pressure is forcing tougher throws, some of which result in INT's. I was completely on board with this trade and couldn't believe we got him for a 4th. He could very well be this defense's D Sharper in terms of turnovers....not the raping.

Good stats. Apple may not be perfect but he is part of the reason for a big major improvement in areas that needed improvements.

Thanks, I included the sack stats as well.
