I hope they keep him. It didn’t make sense to my why the Raiders cut ties with Bisaccia (after he got them to the playoffs) and went with their current loser coach. I hope the Panthers keep Wilks as he is doing an admirable job given his situation.

No doubt the organization will be interested to learn how much he has won over the fans as well. While winning (eventually) solves everything, the fans don’t get to see the same things that the players do. They just want a proven winner. Wilks will do a lot to earn the job if he wins the last two games. I’m sure most of the fans would be onboard after that because it would mean a division crown for their team.

Given how the season started and going through three seasons of Rhule, I think he wins over Panthers fans if they go 8-9 and win the NFCS. Especially if they sweep Tom Brady in the process.

He has been a fantastic HC and has them playing well. They would be wise to keep him long term.
