I understand he was molasses slow for a WR at the combine, but it's strange to me someone with his positioning ability in the red zone has yet to latch on with any NFL team. I like the WR unit the Saints have right now, and it's likely if Wilson was to sign, he couldn't beat out a guy like Brandon Coleman for a roster spot. But why not bring the big man in for some work? At this point he's a cheap add with a decent college pedigree.

De'Runnya isn't that those little fish you chase on the beach at night?

Already have Kyle Prater with same kind of skill set. And prater a tad bit more athletic. And reportedly in top shape. Camp body on any team,,way to stiff and slow

He tried out with us. We passed. I'd assume they have their reasons.

Its not just his 40 time but he also dropped a lot of passes in the drills at the combine and his proday

I have no idea who this guy is, but I just watched his drills at the combine and didn't see a drop.

I got absolutely crushed in this thread for trying to explain why this guy was not a viable prospect and why he would have a hard time finding work, namely his extremely poor 40 time.

Teams just aren't looking for WRs that run darn near in the 4.9s, regardless of what their youtube highlights look like. NFL corners would cover a guy like this with ease. I don't think most people realize just how slow 4.85 is, and unless you have an elite athletic skill set/smarts/route-running ability to counter that slow hand-time (a la Jerry Rice or Anquan Boldin), you're just not going to make it at the next level.

Need to get out of bounds to stop the clock ? De'Runnya down ...
Need to get past the marker for a first down ? De'Runnya down ...
Need to make it to the end zone ? De'Runnya down ...

What a team po t'do ?

Grunion. That's grunion. :hihi:

He's a big kid, and seems to use his size well. No harm in giving him a look. Slow players almost always compensate in some other way.
