john cafferty is not the greatest musician of all time but those 2 movies were great. The songs like on the dark side, tender years, the garden of eden, and many more were great songs. Most of you are not as old as me and probably weren't around back in the day. I made a post not long ago about the 70s music. There was no greater Era of music. I know many of you won't agree. But if you listen to the eagles, doobie brothers, styx, journey, bad company, foreigner, reo, Kansas, nugent, gamma, great white, zeppelin, poison, def leopard, and I could go on and on with all the greT bands. I know most of you don't listen to the greatest Era of rock and roll. Most of you don't even know what real rock and roll is. Rock and roll an attitude. Not a sound. Only people of my generation can know this. I feel so sorry for people who don't understand this. Elvis presley started it all. That was such a great time. I miss those times. I have gotten old. Fixing to be 58 in October. Back then I loved rock, but I have always loved great musians. I come from a long line of them. My uncle was a very famous bass player. My dad was a great guitarist. I play 7 different instruments. I know music. This so called music we have today is a joke. I know most of you will disagree. I could name so many bands from the 70s and 80s. But I know you will disagree. I miss the 70s. That was such a great time to live in. I could even go back to the 60s with so many bands. All you have to do is research it.

Did I? YES! I think we went more than once and we'd get up and dance in the aisles.

Saying ‘Elvis started everything’ completely nukes the rest of your argument

If by Elvis you mean Chuck Berry than I would agree....

I honestly never realized they made a 2nd movie, and I'm ok with that....the first one was ok, kind of a fountain of nostalgia that hits some folks more than others?

The very first rock song ever was y Bill haley and the comets. It was used as the theme song for happy days. After that it came elvis with that's alright momma. Berry came later. He is the acknowledged king of rock and roll. Blue swayed shoes, hound dog, and so many others are classics.

I'm going to get me a pair of Blue Swayed Shoes.

This is total BS. Chuck Berry was writing rock and roll songs in the late 40's....if by came before you mean Elvis was famous before Berry that would be correct.

But you might want to keep in mind that Elvis not only didn't write the music, he also didn't write the lyrics.....Chuck Berry did both....and he was the inventor and king of rock and roll....

Mayonnaise was not the first condiment

This song should not hold up but it does ...

Both songs covers, like Haley's.

What is it with you? Is it attention you seek, or you are just a jerk? "You don't know like I know"... GTFO
