While I didn't see the whole game and had to rely on "snipets" and the obligatory highlights from NFLN, the g.b. packer's offense looked as if they are running OUR New Orleans SAINTS Offense!

When looking at the offensive highlights vs. da clawless bears I saw a successful Screen Play for PT yardage, I saw that Quick Slant for about 3 yds for a TD ala Lance Moore and I saw that Deep Double Move Route on a Roll Out To The Right for a long bomb ala Meach or D.H. or, oh well, just pick one of The SAINTS WR's.

I also saw just how those same packer's poor takcling allowed some pretty decent runs and YACs! Sorta like Our SAINTS "LAST YEAR"! Maybe there's something to this whole deal and imitation is the highest form of compliment and give it to a. rogers ( is he Roy's son or grandson?) ya gotta have a QB who can pull that stuff off and an "O"-line who can protect.

I will ask you who saw the entire game, where is the packs Rushing Offense? THAT's what killed The SAINTS last year and IF the pack think they can even hang with Our SAINTS dey just gotta have a rushing game or else Coach Williams will eat him alive, IMHO.

So, with a HUGE Monday Night Football Christmas present ahead of Us for The NFC South Division, as Fans WE CAN afford to think ahead, I ask you, "Are the pack a cookie cutter of The SAINTS Offense? Then, I'll just say, "I LIKE our chances if We must go to Lambeau for The NFCCG in a couplle of weeks"! Did anyone else feel they were seeing The SAINTS bread & Butter plays from the pack and do you think The SAINTS can take down the Superbowl Champs of last season, even if it's an outside game @ Lambeau?

more encouraging still was the runs that Bell was putting on them in the first half. He sits back and waits for his blocks to develop in much the same way as Pierre and picked up 121 on 23 carries. I think Pierre could go off on them.

Packers run D is horrid. Matthews makes most of the tackles chasing from behind. The Bears ran all over the Pack until abandoning the run late in the third. On the flip side the Packers bread and butter is the pass and they show a relatively weak run game. Rogers had, I think, three busted plays due to RB confusion last night.
They are beatable. The only thing that fans up here discount the Saints with in January is being a Dome team playing in frozen weather. Many believe that is why the Seattle loss happened last year (weather), ignoring the fact that our running game was poor.

A. Rodgers did say last year that Brees is the QB he studies and tries to emulate. I guess it only makes sense to copy a few plays as well.

Jordy Nelson is the real deal. He absolutely burned the Bears secondary on the long pass down the middle. Add Jennings to the mix and I say the Packers are very formidable even without a running game. The weather factor will be interesting since it should affect the Packers as much or more than the Saints.

They are only it's the Haslett/Brooks NOLA offense without the backward passes.

That was against a cover 2, bad coverage pickup by the bears, Nelson was working 1 on 1 against a safety. The most impressive thing about the play was Rodgers reading the coverage, but after that, the bears were already beat before the snap.

I think we need to realize the weather won't stop either QB's if we meet. The simple assumption is if both teams bring their A game it will be a shootout. Their defense can't stop us, neither can ours stop them. I know our defense has improved, but remember the Packers don't really run the ball. The last time I checked our pass defense is still very suspect. The unfortunate thing is they create turnovers while we are allergic to them. We can't turn the ball over (ala Colston fumble Week 1). If we have zero turnovers we will win and I'll put the bank on it. One turnover and it's over. You know damn well our defense isn't going to get a turnover on one of the best offenses at protecting the ball. We can't even get turnovers on easy victims.

Our linebackers and our D-line are worthless against the run. The defensive line can't slow down the blockers, who blow right past them to the second level, where the linebackers either fall down on their faces or run in the wrong direction. I felt like I was watching a Buster Keaton movie last night.

I swear, this defense is getting worse every damned week. I've said this before, but there is not one single player on the defensive side of the line who is playing better than he did last season, and not very many who are even playing as well as they did last year. Most of our defensive players have regressed, and our defense as a whole certainly has.

I don't know what to say at this point. It is what it is, there's no fixing it. All I can hope for is that when we play you, we can get a couple of turnovers and score on every possession, because you may not punt once the whole damned game.
