Make no mistake about the fact that the allegations and what the NFL has referred to as specific evidence that the New Orleans Saints had a bounty system in place under then-defensive coordinator Gregg Williams are serious matters and the organization is going to pay a huge price for it.
Williams, head coach Sean Payton and general manager Mickey Loomis, along with certain players, will feel the wrath of the Commissioner Roger Goodell for some time.
The NFL will send a message to players and teams alike that this won't be tolerated in this league, if this was indeed the case, and that because of lawsuits and potential lawsuits, the league is covering everybody's part up to the highest level.
