I find this to be a pretty interesting record. We dodged a bullet in 2013 when Brady was snapped two games short. Then in 2014, Manning was stopped 3 games short. After these two scares, I don't think we'll have to worry about anyone coming close for a rather long time.

There's no one even close right now, except this one guy.. Drew Brees. He's at 36 consecutive games right now. No one else is even at 20. I know I'm getting ahead of myself here, but if he goes all 16 games this year with a TD pass.. he'll be at 52, just two games short of his own legendary record when we enter the 2016 season. How freaking incredible would that be?

And to really show how special this is.. His streak was snapped on Thursday Night Football in 2012 at Atlanta, and he started it back up the very next game. That means he's thrown a touchdown in 90 of his last 91 games. Remarkable. It pains me to think about that game, and that season in general really. Can you imagine if Lance Moore didn't drop that wide open touchdown? Or if Pierre Thomas didn't get robbed of a touchdown (was that this game?).. He really could be at 91 straight games with a TD, which would just be absurd.

Here's to our offense steamrolling this league again.. Let's break our 2011 record, but change the ending a little bit.

if hes 2 short after this season, how awesome would it be to play falcons on MNF week 2 of next year.

That game ****** me off because we had so many opportunities to score a TD but we just couldn't get it done and that penalty on Graham to negate the TD to Moore (IIRC) just made my blood boil.

Even if he only could get back to the #2 slot, it would be awesome.

But without Graham in the red zone, they'll pay extra attention to Colston. We're more likely to run it in with Ingram than in the past.

It's going to be harder to keep it up.

I am sure that 90 td's in 91 games is also a record combined.

Don't sleep on Ben Watson. It sounds like he found the fountain of youth in the offseason.

That dropped TD by Moore haunts my dreams lol. I can still see it all too perfectly....and 5 INTs??? :covri:

Perhaps this is premature, but if Brees ends up with the two longest consecutive TD streaks of all time, that is one distinction that I doubt anyone will ever match.

The pendulum will eventually swing against the passing game in the NFL. Some seem to believe its all about the rule changes, but the fact is there are more good QBs in the NFL today than ever before. That won't always be the case.

Let's see if that network in the Northeast acknowledges this feat if it continues. The best parties and celebrations tend to be small, intimate ones, I guess -- with longtime trusted fans and friends. :mwink:

It was a nightmare that didn't have to be - we should have beaten those suckas.

Do playoff games count toward the record? If so, the record would be reachable this season.
